The outdoor park is pretty simple compared to some of the parks in town, but it has a great play structure and a water play pad and covered picnic tables. One of Waco's many well-maintained parks right here at the recreation center.

Do not pay to use the outdoor pavilion at this park. It was filthy - litter everywhere. Beer cans, rotting food, overflowing trash cans. The Waco Parks Dept did refund our $100 rental fee. The park is supposed to be smoke free and alcohol free but it is not. There were people hanging out under the pavilion when we arrived that said they actually lived there. There is a spray park and play ground equipment that would be very nice is the litter was cleaned up and the area was maintained & policed.
