I've heard all the horror stories from friends who put their kids through PSA, but I decided to give them a try and put my son through basketball and boy do I regret that decision! First of all, the refs are undertrained and look disinterested at every game. It's like they're just there to collect a paycheck. They miss so many calls which result in kids getting hurt. They get annoyed at you when you simply ask them for an explanation. League rules are so inconsistent where our team was forced to forfeit because our coach forgot his badge. Yet the team we played the following team's coach did not have his badge and no forfiet. Good luck getting any type of response from the league because you won't get one. I even showed up in person to PSA1 to try and speak to someone. The lady at the front desk who was already short and rude with me from the get-go made up a story that the director was going to be on a call for 2 hours and that he'd call me back. Still hasn't called me back lol. These crooks just care about your money and don't care about the safety nor development of your child. This place is more shady than a used car dealership. There are many other leagues in the area where directors actually show up to the games and answer questions and concerns. You're better off going elsewhere. I will not give PSA any more of my money ever again. Update 3/10/25 Response from the owner We are sorry to hear that your child had a negative experience in basketball. The safety and well-being of all children in our program are our top priorities. Can you explain why there were ZERO PSA directors on site to address a 6th grade rec league boys basketball game that ended in a heated confrontation not only between the kids but also the coaches and parents? Your refs immediately walked to the side and sat down just witnessing the entire event refusing or unable to do anything. One coach even called Plano PD to press charges for assault (which was ridiculous since nothing happened). When Plano PD showed up asking front desk who was in charge, both desk workers just shrugged their shoulders saying they just worked here. Luckily the situation soothed itself down but imagine had it gotten worse? Who at PSA would or could answer for this?

I would like to share my experience regarding volleyball lessons. I registered and paid in full. After the registration closed PSA released the schedules which I can’t ride my kid due to my fixed work schedule. They said that there is no other schedule available to switch & they can’t give us a refund because as their policy after registration closed they can’t refund. Be remind you that we can only check the schedule after registration closed and if it’s not work for you you can’t change and no refund for you ! Very disappointed policy and hard to accept !
