Best sunsets in town! Ha! It's a nice place and a great deal for Plano residents. Why go to a private gym??

A lot of the lifeguards are douchebags. Which, I guess what do you expect from so many teens (or they at least look teenage)? I've taken my daughter here several times and always somehow manage to have a poor experience with the lifeguards. It's usually just that I don't care for their attitudes, but our last visit finally sealed the deal on not going back. Which sucks because I've been going since I was a kid myself 😭 But, my kiddo wanted to ride the indoor slide and the lifeguard on at the time checked her height and sent her on through. It was her first time and she LOVED it. So she kept going over and over, waiting in line a million times while that particular lifeguard was on duty. Well, the next one comes and she says my girl is too short and refuses her to slide. I express to her that she has literally been going down it repeatedly for the past half an hour with no issue and asked how is she suddenly too short. This chick gave no answers and just stuck with "she doesn't reach height requirement so she can't go" and my kiddo cried the whole walk back down the stairs and outside (she didn't want to be inside anymore). We were able to enjoy the rest of our time outside, but I did go ahead and mention to a desk person that I felt like that was totally unfair and honestly super unprofessional to entirely curb the question and just repeat the statement over and over again. To which they responded, "Sorry, it just depends on the lifeguard you get." In other words, the height check is honestly just for show cause it really comes down to the person themselves. You would think they'd want it uniform across the board?? Hence the height check???? So, I guess, keep in mind when planning your own visit. This was last Summer, but my daughter's birthday is coming up and I have been looking around for a place that offers indoor swimming. Google brought up Oak Point and I recalled this pooooooooor experience so, thought I'd share. Hope everyone else genuinely does enjoy though 😩

Love the pool. Women's locker room is very clean. Ample parking. Inexpensive membership. Showers sometimes have hair buildup at the floor drains, but we can't blame maintenance for guests not bothering to pick up after themselves.
