Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium

We moved here a month ago and I immediately started looking for a gym with child care. My daughter is 1 and has never been with anyone alone besides my husband and mom, so I was nervous. We did the 7 days for $7 trial at first, but of course she got sick after the 2 day. Then we did the 30 days for $30. I wanted to be sure she could hang in the childcare before I purchased a membership. We started off at 20 minutes and slowly built up by 5-10 minutes and are now at an hour and a half and she LOVES it there. Half the time she doesn’t seem to want to leave. Everyone that works in there seems to truly love children. I love fitness and have always been active, but my fitness has been short 15-20 minute spurts since she’s been born. Pearland Rec has given me my fitness back, along with peace of kind through out my workout that my daughter is being treated right and is safe and they’ll call me if they need anything. As for the facility, the gym is small but has everything I could need and I can’t wait for the pools to open back up for fitness and recreation purposes. This is the best money I’ve spent since I’ve been here.

This is probably one of the best rec centers I have ever been too. An indoor track for walking and running is great when it’s hot or cold outside. The natatorium is clean and great for lap swims or just open pool swimming. And the gym is top tier, everything is new and noticing is missing or broken, so many weights and machines to complete a number of different workouts. I would highly recommend this for anyone.

I love this Recreation Center and natatorium! It wasn't here 20 years ago when I lived in Pearland. But even though I've moved across to the other side of I-45 7 miles away, I love coming here and it's really helping me to get more exercise. It's sad that we don't have things like this in Houston, but I deeply appreciate the Pearland City system for offering this to its residents and making it available to those of us who have no other options!! Thank you
