UPDATE: 6/18/24 Increasing my 3 stars to 5 The town held a meeting about the park. I submitted comments on the multiple issues I listed in my original review, expecting to be ignored. To my surprise, though, every single issue was addressed and the park completely redone. The play structure was replaced with a new one and installed lower so my youngest can now access it all. They added a new play structure just for the littles. There's now a huge canopy providing plenty of shade, and there is shade as well over the picnic tables, which they also installed more of. The replaced all of the grass, and the new grass has some stickers still but it's much better and they're trying. They paved a lane around the entire park so you can now walk or have the kids rollerblade, bike, or ride their four wheelers around. A bit of metal fencing was also added to separate the park from the frontage road and increase safety. Before there was rarely anyone using the park and now each time I pass it there are multiple families enjoying it. I am very grateful to the officials in charge who took the time to fix everything and make me feel heard. They have increased property value for the neighborhood and have made living here even more enjoyable. Thank you. PS, someone once asked in a FB group about local basketball courts with metal chains so I'll include this in the review in case anyone else is interested, but one of the three hoops does have metal chains. ____________________________________ Original review: The good: playground is brand new, there's plenty of grass to play in, soccer fields, basketball court, and tennis court. It's quiet and almost always empty or just one other group/family there. The cons: there are a lot of stickers in the grass so watch your littles. The new playground has basically no shade at all so you can't stand using it for long in this Texas heat and the new playground is pretty high up so there's almost nothing a younger toddler can reach to do. We use this park quite a bit bc we live nearby so it's convenient to walk to and my bf likes playing basketball while the kids play. My son is three but sized like a five year old and can only now barely make it up to where he can use the slide. It still doesn't take him long to get bored bc he's still basically too little to play there. If you have kids under five or six I'd recommend instead Eureka 2 park or the little playground in the other Southridge neighborhood off of Norfolk Ct (you can see it from Teasley). The kids do enjoy riding their little ride-on toys around the soccer fields though.

Nicely manicured little park in a quaint Denton suburb that has a playground and tennis courts.

My husband works nearby so I take my kids here a few days a week before his office closes. It’s nice and quiet and the neighborhood is very friendly. The playground is always clean and safe and my kids enjoy how much open space this park has to offer. It is next to a service road, although very very very far back. Still I keep a constant eye on my kids just in case but it’s a really nice park and I’m glad we found it.
