Moore Park

On my way into downtown, I stopped here and found a place to enjoy the lunch I prepared in the Sprinter van. It's an OK park with a really nice playground and a big open field. A bit too much trash for my liking and while they have supplies for the dog walkers, it seems that some people don't know enough to pick it up. People suck.

This could be an awesome park, and the locals seem to try and keep it clean. But the trash is often overflowing, and liter is next level in some areas. There must be a local drunk that throws his tall boy cans on the ground on a daily basis. I imagine it's due to a lack of police presence. Really has an old school mid-century vibe with the abandoned school and old football/baseball/soccer field. Met some really nice people on our dogwalks there.

Probably the best city of Pittsburgh pool we've been to so far. The pool itself is very big and seems to be very well kept up with. The grass area is a pretty decent size. It seemed to be less crowded today than usual according to one of the lifeguards, but this pool has lots of room to roam if there are a lot of people there. Can't wait to go again next summer!
