I had an amazing time taking private swim lessons from Esther Degler at the Kroc Center these past few months. As an older woman, I was apprehensive as to whether I would be successful in learning to free style the length of the pool. Oh my gosh, not only did I learn to free style, I learned the back stroke, modified backstroke and diving, too. Instruction was one-on-one, and I was always completely safe in the water with Esther. Also, the front desk staff were very pleasant and the changing rooms clean. There’s no reason why everyone shouldn’t sign up for swim lessons. You needn’t be a member to sign up for swim lessons. Go to the Kroc Center; learn to swim! Thanks Esther.

We are members at the Kroc Center and for the most part enjoy it. We utilize the pool, gym and rock climbing. I trust the daycare staff with my kids and enjoy my workouts. The reason I give them 3 stars instead of 5 is because of a few negative interactions I've had with rude staff members, and also I sometimes run in to a lack of professionalism with some staff.

Third time coming to this place and just like all other times the experience was terrible with this time being the worse. Wait time was way too long it took close to 3 hours but ended up leaving instead. The person announcing the people in the wait list was so quiet it was as if they didn’t want the people being called to hear them. I witnessed a family that came right after us being allowed in not even 30 minutes in waiting and when I asked when we would be called I was told we would be called soon. 2 of the receptionist were very rude with one gave displeased looks to some customers yet smiled so big and had friendly conversation for others. Another receptionist while helping customer didn’t even bother having a bit of chat with the customer but chose to gossip with the other receptionist next to her. One of the employee saw me trying to control one of the impatient kid that kept wanting to wonder around barefoot I was given a warning about shoes needing to be worn in the lobby. This I don’t mind at all because they At least they waited until I finished talking to the child. At some point we ended up leaving before we could get to swim. I’ll give it a 1 star for the facility looking nice and clean.
