Unfair Removal from the Community Center Community centers are meant to be inclusive spaces where people can gather, socialize, and participate in activities. However, our recent experience at a local community center was anything but welcoming. My friends and I were unfairly removed from the center under the false accusation that one of us had called 911 using their phone. Despite a lack of evidence and the fact that some of us were not even near the phone, all five of us were asked to leave. This unjust decision not only disrupted our plans but also highlighted a serious issue with how the center handles conflicts and accusations. The incident began when we were spending time at the community center, enjoying a safe and positive environment. At some point, an employee accused one of us of using the center’s phone to call 911 without reason. While it is understandable that prank calls to emergency services are a serious matter, none of us had done such a thing. Instead of investigating the situation properly, the staff immediately assumed guilt and decided to remove all five of us, even though some members of our group had no involvement at all. What made the situation worse was the lack of due process. Rather than questioning each of us individually or checking any phone records, the staff made a rushed decision based on assumption. Some of the individuals who were kicked out had not even been near the phone at the time of the alleged call. This blanket punishment was unfair and failed to consider the actual facts of the situation. A fair and responsible approach would have involved reviewing any available evidence before making a decision that affected multiple people. The impact of this unfair removal was significant. Not only did it prevent us from using a public space meant for community members, but it also left us feeling disrespected and unheard. Community centers are supposed to be places of fairness and inclusivity, yet in this case, the staff acted without considering the perspectives of those involved. If such behavior continues, it could discourage people from feeling comfortable using the center in the future. In conclusion, the way we were treated at the community center was unjust and should be addressed. Accusations should be based on evidence, and individuals should be given a fair chance to explain their side of the story. The center needs to implement a more thorough investigation process before taking such drastic actions. Everyone deserves to feel welcome and respected in a public space, and no one should be punished for something they did not do.

Looks great however, they need to find a better way to sign up. It seems that the courts are full 30 seconds after registration starts on Mondays. I spoke to several players who have been trying to get in for weeks yet there are players that get in regularly. They need to implement a system that allows rotation of some sort.

We hosted a birthday kindergym party at this community centre. The setup staff were great to deal with - they helped setup to our specifications. The equipment was varied and worked well. The ages of kids ranged from as low as 3 to as high as 10 and everyone seemed to be entertained and happy with the facility.
