KSSC fails to create a safe and positive environment for individual players to play and practice without fear of bullying, harassment or abuse by larger groups that dominate the arena. This is a mixed used arena with 6 out of 9 Pickleball courts for booking. The rule for booking is supposedly to be first come first served via email. However beware that the owner plays favouritism to the larger group. Even with automatic email scheduling that is sent out at midnight, the larger group somehow always get their multiple preferred courts. Is it even possible that the network of the larger group is always faster than everyone else? The truth of the matter is it is selectively first come first served at the owner's discretion. And the 3 drop-in courts are taken over by the larger group when they have too many players. Booking or not, they always get their courts. The owner turns a blind eye because all he cares is $$. The larger group in fact obnoxiously declares certain courts belong to them because they have spent a lot of $$ at this arena already. They think they own the place. The owner also keeps changing the rules and procedures to cater to the preferences of the larger group. The worst of it is not the unfair booking. It is the aggressive play and bullying by the larger group. Most of these players are untrained players who are at best 2.5 skill level. I guess when they play among themselves, they make themselves believe they are top seed players. They play aggressively by charging into other people's court to save a strayed ball. Their untrained eyes cannot differentiate the ball is going to be out anyway. This abruptly charging into other people's court makes it unsafe for all players involved. This is especially harmful to the innocent players in their neighbouring courts who would not have expected someone to cut in front of or behind them abruptly. When their strayed ball goes into other's people court, they run in to pick it up without giving the courtesy for their neighbouring players to finish their play. Again this makes it unsafe for all players involved. Given their skill level, they cannot control their ball/form/play and think charging into other people's courts is a skilled play and part of the game. When one complains, they act like thugs and dismissively. This is liked they are saying a disgruntled driver abruptly cuts into someone else’s lane and potentially hits someone else’s car is the correct way to drive. There is no court rules or etiquette in place so the untrained players make up their own rules. The owner allows it. I guess we all have signed a waiver form to play at our own risk. If I could give no star I would. The colossal disgrace to the sport is unfortunately tolerated and a regular display at this arena. An individual player who wants to play and practice at this arena would not be treated with respect and equally; and beware of the bullying and harrassment that might happen if you have the misfortune to play next to these larger groups.

I play pickleball with friends here. Staff is friendly and polite. Center is clean and bright. Price also reasonable. You need to do booking by email. If we can do booking online, it would be more convenient.
