I go swimming a lot at artillery park with my kids. Usually it's a pleasant experience. We went tonight to the 8:15 to 9:30 swim and it was disgusting. The staff were incredibly rude. The lifeguards were screamed at kids and parents. My son was wearing a life jacket and swimming with me in the bigger pool that has the deep end. The lifeguard told me that we were only allowed to swim in the shallow end. Yet other kids with parents and life jackets were allowed. When my son asked another life guard. They were very polite and told us we are allowed to swim in the deep end. Life guards screamed at us for getting out and getting toys. My son was walking. They screamed at him not to run to the point where he was almost in tears. We got screamed at for accidentally sitting on the ledge for 2 seconds. He got screamed at for my son using the blue slide trying to throw a ball at me. I understand that lifeguards need to keep us safe but they also need to learn how to be respectful to the public and the fact that they are all very ignorant and rude. I think you need to check your staff. This is absolutely disgusting and you will not seeing my family there again.

One of the best pools in town, we have been taking our now nine month old since he was first born for the family swims and he loves it, the pools are kept at perfect temperatures!

My family and I love coming here for a swim. I give 4 stars for my only complaint of a very strong urine smell always in the family change room. Other than that, great facility.
