Frances Cate Park

Went today for the first time and stayed for maybe 45min. We only saw the playground, and it was clean enough to play. There was some trash, but a trash can was nearby. It's a nice layout and plenty of room for my littles to roam. ✨️BUT my husband saw a few homeless people and our area was invaded by a shirtless man clearly tweaking out, used the table under the pavilion to lay down. Promptly left. We don't plan to go back.

Nice park that is elongated running north-south. Has paved side walks and a small creek running through. Has pick nick tables both in the open and some with covering. Has a playground for kids. Also has open fields and a baseball area. Is within walking distance to a neighborhood to the west. Parking lot is small and a few items need repairing like the sign with the name of the park “Frances Cate Park”. Note no restrooms. Overall nice park.

I grew up at this park and I am now taking my kids to it. My kids will play while my husband and I jog around the sidewalk to get some exercise in. This is a great place to relax and there is a porch swing for the adults to sit on while the kids play. EDIT: This park has been taken over by the homeless people in the area. They sleep around the picnic tables and on the fitness court.
