The pickleball courts are apparently NOT a public space and is the epitome of the pickleball player stereotypes. No one is welcoming or kind to beginners. There are two courts that are apparently designated for beginners but they expect you to share the court with others who are in fact not beginners, making it impossible to feel comfortable and learn. On top of that the regular players there twist around the posted rules and expect people to abide by them for their own personal benefit. Unless you are a snobby rich you will not fit in with the community here

The pickleball courts at J.F. Kennedy Park are great! There are 12 courts and plenty of room to sit while you wait to play! There is a practice wall as well that can be used to improve your aim. They have friendly Court Monitors there daily to facilitate the courts and they are also available if you have questions about rules and how to play pickleball. No matter how experienced or inexperienced you are you can have a fun time! I highly recommend coming out to play!

The Kennedy Park Splash Pad, adjacent to Polen Farm, includes many water play features, two picnic shelters and a well equipped farm themed playground with a soft surface. The Splash Pad is free and open 7 days a week sunrise to sunset. The kids had a great time.
