I cannot recommend this club enough! The owner, Mike, is so sweet and welcoming and doesn't mind taking the time to explain things to new players. He does his best to make everyone feel welcomed and at ease. The players there were wonderful too, everyone is friendly and just there for the love of the game. I can't wait to come back every week! If you've checked out their website and are thinking about stopping in, just send Mike an email or just give them a try! He doesn't mind answering questions and responds very quickly as well. You won't be sorry! Update 7/14/2023 - Been coming here for almost 2 years now and it's just as awesome as before! All kinds of leagues to join throughout the year, friendly atmosphere, and great courts! Could use better temperature management throughout the year, but it's a school so can't expect much. I still cannot recommend Ralley Niagara, and Mike, enough!

Coach Mike is a warm and kind person and a powerful/graceful badminton player who plays in tournaments throughout the North East. As a host he goes out of his way to make new people feel welcome and acquainted with the game. He will often pair new players with mid level players to help new people become more comfortable with the game and club. As an instructor he is good at scaffolding, an instruction technique that brakes a procedure in to elementary components, teaches/trains each component separately and re-couples them back in to the procedure or play. This gives the player greater clarity in critiquing/refining a given skill and speeds up the learning process. It is not uncommon for people who had never played before to be enjoying the game within the second or third instructional class. Even the most advanced players can sharpen their skills under coach Mikes instruction. As a person with a strong moral code and active member in the community and church, Mikes values are based on kindness, generosity and helping others in personal growth.
