Nice outdoor space for kid gatherings or sporting events. This is NOT a designated year-round dog park as dogs are required to be on leash aside from the times listed on the sign. They are not allowed on the field at all during the month of May and the space is not entirely enclosed. There is an opening to the playground as well as the busy Chebucto Rd. The playground equipment is good for small kids but there is not a ton of seating for parents. The benches are badly in need of repair. The tennis court and pickle ball court are usually booked up during the summer months so be sure to check the HFX court bookings before planning to go for a game. The baseball field attracts sporting events however the parking can be a challenge so leave plenty of time to find a spot on a side road. There's a garbage can on each side of the entrance which is convenient.

For dog owners: Off leash park from 0530 to 0830 is fantastic. Nice big fenced-in space and a welcoming bunch of regulars.

This is my favourite spot to go where other humans and dogs connect. Typically the dogs all nose around and chew on stick as their owners shout "go play, go do dog things" as if being stubborn and chewing on sticks wasn't a dog thing already. The park isn't 100% fenced in, so if you've got a high energy breed that will take off, you're probably best going somewhere else.
