Basic functional weight room in basement of local rec centre. Inexpensive at $5.85 and quite clean and organized. An attendant was on duty one of the days. Two rooms with 4 cardio machines and a mix of free weights and cable machines. Medium sized so could get crowded though fine with the 6-8 people I when there. Change room only had a few lockers which need own lock. I brought my gym bag in and hung on hook.

A hidden gem of a neighbourhood rec centre. Great programs, wonderful staff, a variety of room rental types. Centrally located, with transit access and parking. It shows its age in a few spots, but that adds to its charm. This vintage repurposed school doesn't look fancy from the outside, but it's one of my favourite HRM Rec facilities.

wonderful place to swim and take a rest. even though it is definitely lake, it is like small beach. not deep. warmer than ocean. i saw three lifeguards there.
