Little Falls Sports & Recreation Complex

The Little Falls Sports and Recreation Complex is a large but compact multipurpose sports facility just off Route 46. The complex consists of two baseball/softball fields, a football/soccer field, and two sets of tennis/pickleball courts. The is also a small playground area with a mini jungle gym and slides, but it's not much. A few years ago, this place was not much more than a couple of fields that just popped up out of a patch of trees; now it is vastly expanded and spread out, with practically few trees remaining. A headquarters building has been constructed, and the facility is maintained quite well. A small food stand has been built in the middle as well. If any qualms can be made, it is that parking is very limited, and the bleachers for the fields could have expanded as well.

I was at the Little Falls Recreation center to attend my daughters graduation, & I must say they did a fantastic job with not just the ceremony, but the care of the field as well as the overall atmosphere. This was my first time there, & everything was so neatly organized! All of the “I’s” were dotted and the T”s” crossed. There was not one thing out of place from the well groomed grass, to the placement of the stage and chairs for all of the guests. The field was clean, well groomed, and the maintenance crew was right on top of things across the board. When it came to making sure everything was organized, tidy, & in its place, Little Falls recreation made sure that no stone was left unturned, leaving pure perfection in its wake. Not to mention the fact that the police presence was outstanding!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better location to have my daughters graduation ceremony. Everything went off without a hitch and I was highly impressed! 👩‍🎓

The pickleballs courts here are AMAZING! BUT there is a gang of older men that rule the courts on weekday evenings. They are exclusive and not welcoming. They will tell you to go to Nutley for more “intermediate play”. Going so far as to say these courts are for experienced players. Wasn’t a very pleasant experience.
