We regularly use the Peterson Park baseball fields for my son’s baseball practice sessions. There are two baseball infields, both of which are nicely maintained. One of the two Infields has many shady trees around it so I must admit that one is our favorite! The park also has a few pickle ball courts which are always occupied by players. The park is clean & well-maintained and we seldom see litter or trash lying around As far as facilities, the park has 2 to 3 Porta potties at two separate locations which are well placed, in my opinion. Even though my son makes fun of me for appreciating the presence of the Porta potties, we parents spend 3 to 4 hours at the park at every practice session and I do appreciate it! I would say that the park has a good vibe to it, it has a nice large wooded and grassy open area and no homes close by. It feels comfortable to be in, even after dark. There is plenty of parking available centrally, which can be accessed by baseball players as well as the pickle ball players Some Road noise is present but is not a distraction at all. An odd train passes by occasionally as well, again, that’s not a distraction
