Busy place but is excellent in the variety of activities and equipment. There is a problem with buffering on the display screens on the Precor recumbent bikes. Other than that, the people who work there and exercise there are friendly . The staff is very knowledgeable.

Love the Spears Y!! Today I used the recumbent bike a little over 5 miles while watching A Vet Life on my phone. Heart rate average 125. I am just getting started back and have back issues, so hopefully, I can increase my workout. The staff at th re Y is great. I want to get back to the yoga classes. Tabitha is a top notch yoga instructor.

We have generally had a positive experience going to this YMCA location. I would strongly suggest having clear guidelines on what is the minimum age limit of each equipment. The guidelines posted at the gym are quite ambiguous, mentioning that children of certain ages, usually 9 years or older, cannot lift weights or use weight machines. However, my husband was told today by the Wellness director that our 9 year old could not use certain equipment that we would not have considered to be weight machines. It was an unpleasant situation for my husband and daughter, because we had been previously advised by another staff member that all the equipment in a particular section of the wellness area was open to 9+ year olds. Please make sure that all your staff is properly trained to advise patrons adequately on the rules, so that patrons are not getting conflicting information, and that the guidelines are clearly stated on each equipment as to what minimum age is allowed.
