Biased because I live nearby but a great neighborhood park with play structure, huge sandbox, very nice sand volleyball court, large flat open space, and a popular neighborhood sledding hill in the winter. The best feature is the walnut glen. A shady sloped lawn with 10+ mature walnut trees that’s a wonderful place to sit, relax, and watch the afternoon roll by. The State Champion Chinkapin Oak is also located on the edge of this park.

If you have really little ones, a dog, or want to run some quick beach volleyball, then Wurster park is your spot. I love the big hills, and love how close it is to down town, and Washtenaw dairy

Great little park. Perfect for younger kids (under 5) as the play structure is small with toddler slides, steps, etc. This little gem also has a Swing-set, sandbox, a water fountain, soccer goal, horseshoe pit and sand volleyball. The hill is quite steep if parking on Madison, but there is a ramp. Park on Edgewood Place for quicker access to the playground and to avoid the steep hill climb.
