I visit Lake Mayer Park daily for my walks, and it has become an essential part of my routine. The park offers a beautiful one-and-a-half-mile loop that is surrounded by stunning fauna and flora, creating a peaceful ambiance perfect for reflection or a leisurely stroll. But the park isn't just for walking! As an avid tennis and pickleball player, I appreciate the well-maintained courts available for public use. There's truly something for everyone here, from children's playgrounds to fitness stations and even fishing areas. The park is clean, the paths are well-lit, and there are always engaging activities happening. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast or just looking for a pleasant place to unwind, Lake Mayer Park in Savannah is a must-visit. A five-star experience in the heart of our city!

Whenever we have a long run to do, this is kinda our go to. We can put our nutrition and hydration in the truck and pick it up every other lap. We are training for a 50 mile run at Stevie's Roost in September, which is a loop trail course. Lake Mayer is each lap is 1.5 miles, so we can train the way we are going to do the race. When you run here, there are sooo many amazing folks that it would be difficult not to be inspired as you do your training. The only bad part is that the bathrooms don't open until 8am and most of our runs start at 7. Even seen a softshell turtle... pretty cool!

This is not even close to a dog-friendly park. Beautiful lake with a trail around it but some absurd reason, dogs are not allowed on the trails. The only area where dogs are allowed is a tiny section of the parking lot. Stupid decisions here.
