This park is SOOOO COOL! Especially for kids of different ages. There’s multiple swings (although the baby swing is broken right now - if that doesn’t get fixed I’ll update this review accordingly), multiple play areas, outdoor musical instruments, and SO MANY SPOTS FOR CLIMBING especially for bigger kids. There’s a bug field with a walking path. We will definitely be visiting this park more often!

Nice facility with plenty of off street parking. Spacious and good programs for children practicing different sports. The children's park is well built and has a nice circular path for children to run or ride bicycles. Fun place and very convenient for those in the neighborhood.

In the two or three times I have tried to go on Saturdays, the woman who is staffed at this rec center has always been incredibly rude and reprimands patrons for one reason or another. Once was because I went upstairs to see the multipurpose rooms, another time because I showed up at 4:30pm on a Saturday (she claimed that the center closed at 4:30pm but the DPR website says 5pm). I will not be returning to this rec center. I recommend Trinidad instead if you are looking for a rec center in NE DC. Otherwise, the outdoor basketball court and tennis court are solid.
