This rec center has the most generous military discount I've ever seen - 50% off, incl for spouses and children. Their child watch is excellent, staff are always friendly, so many fun classes and facilities to choose from, and excellent swimming area with plenty of options for your kiddos. Access to this facility has been priceless as a new mom.

I've given excellent reviews in the past for this rec center. We have have some of my children's best parties here. Last night was an absolutely awful experience. I took my young granddaughter to relax at about 7 PM. I try not to complain.. But so many things were unpleasant that here I am. First of all when we got in there the music was so loud, I could barely speak to my grandchild. The lifeguards were dancing around. One of them was Super loud and obnoxiously distracting the other lifeguards. So that was fine but they were not watching the kids At All !! So that was fine........ But then they began playing football across the long pool with the real football. They were flailing about and running. And I literally had to yell at one of them so they didn't knock my little four year old granddaughter over. There were Winging the football right over their heads of families and children in the pool. I had to walk my child back and forth for safety. They were having the kind of obnoxiously dangerous activity that I would have complained to the lifeguards about, except they were the lifeguards. Then, at eight o'clock, with thirty minutes left for everyone to swim, They pulled out the hoses and started hosing down the pool everywhere. fine. Except then they started playing again and leaving hoses everywhere for the little ones to fall over.. I really felt this whole evening was an unsafe environment. And I usually drop off my middle schoolers to swim. I will not be doing that with childish behavior from the ones that should be watching our children.!! I actually felt like one or two of the guys were trying to work, but they were so distracted by this loud boy with long hair and a ball cap on, he was like at his own pool party. . I am not trying to get anyone in trouble. But this is not the kind of job Where safety can be compromised.

I love this place and have been coming here for years now and my kids love it as well, tonight I would have to say I was pretty upset to the point of having me write a review, something I hardly ever do unless necessary. Lifeguards started doing their cleaning right at 7:30pm, a whole hour before the pools closing time. Putting soap on the floor, taking out the water hoes making it very dangerous for everyone due to it being slippery and could possibly cause a trip with the hoes. They also started scrubbing where the soap was and brushing it into the swimming pools. I understand there is chemicals that keep pools clean but that just didn’t seem right specially when there was kids/adults inside the pools still. If lifeguards are in a hurry to leave, maybe announcing that they would be closing a little earlier tonight would make it more appropriate than doing what they did. Just asking for our time that we paid for to be respected. Thank you.
