I’m a local and go here often. The library is awesome for adults and kids. There is a teen only area that is nice as well with games. The courts and gym (upper and lower) which I use most are nice and most of the common equipment is there. There are a few that should be added but I’ve heard there will be more in 2025. The boxing area is pretty neat too but usually not in use when I’m there.

This review is for the boxing center as you cannot use it unless you pay an additional fee of $30 per week to the boxing club. The guy there won’t even let you set foot in there unless you pay his fee. This info has been added to the city website at least but it’s all the way at the bottom. Keep this in mind if you were excited about the boxing center, don’t pay the daily admission expecting to be able to use the boxing gym. You would be better off buying your own bag online for $80 instead of $120 a month.

I love this place. So glad they put some money into this community and created the perfect community center. Half of the building is gym that you can pay to get in. It uses the same Thornton pass to get in to the other rec centers. It also has half the building as a library and youth area which is free to access. I love working out in the morning when no one is around then bringing my kids by later in the afternoon to play, read, and take advantage of such a great facility.
