Garfield Park is located in south Pasadena. It's a great park where couples and families gather to stroll beneath the shade of ancient trees. Although this isn’t a large park, it’s dog friendly and designed to be used by those in need of a place to enjoy the day. The park features well-maintained pathways, a children's playground, and spacious grassy areas for picnics and public events. In addition, there's a charming gazebo often used for small community activities and gatherings. I attended the free summer festival Shakespeare by the Sea at Garfield Park. This wasn’t just a wonderful way to spend my Sunday evening but a fantastic admission free theatrical event. And a great opportunity to see and experience Shakespeare. The park's walking paths are an invitation for visitors to enjoy the surroundings in a safe and clean place. This is a nice park that’s well landscaped with a wonderful play area for young families of all ages. I like kids… so I think the sounds of children playing add to the peaceful atmosphere.

Garfield Park in South Pasadena is an absolute gem and one of the best parks in the area for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful setting. ✔ Beautiful, Well-Maintained Green Space – The park is lush, clean, and shaded with plenty of mature trees, open grassy areas, and well-kept walking paths. It’s the perfect place for a picnic, a morning stroll, or just to relax with a book. ✔ Fantastic Playground for Kids – If you have little ones, they’ll love the playground area, which has a great mix of swings, slides, and climbing structures. It’s shaded enough to keep things cool, and there’s plenty of space for kids to run around safely. ✔ Quiet, Peaceful Atmosphere – Unlike some larger parks that can get overly crowded, Garfield Park strikes the perfect balance—lively but not overwhelming. It’s a great place to escape the city noise and enjoy some fresh air. ✔ Tennis & Community Activities – There are tennis courts nearby and plenty of benches and picnic tables scattered throughout the park. The park also hosts outdoor concerts and community events, adding to its charm. ✔ Dog-Friendly & Walkable – A great place to bring your dog for a walk, with plenty of shady spots to rest. The surrounding neighborhood is also beautiful and safe for walking. Final Thoughts Garfield Park is a true neighborhood treasure. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful place to unwind, a fun outing with the kids, or just a scenic spot to enjoy nature, this park is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Wonderful neighborhood park that is always clean, safe, and well kept. There are always families with young children running around after school or on the weekends. It’s also a great place to walk or play with your dog since they have many trash bins all over the park and doggy poop bags. There’s a freelibrary at the entrance of the park and tennis courts on the opposite end. There are bathrooms that are cleaned regularly and plenty of water fountains around the park. Honestly, such a lovely park.
