Who knew there is a Japanese garden in Hayward?? I sure didn't but I'm glad I found it! It is really peaceful here. You can walk to the pond where there is large coy fish and turtles. There is a gazebo with benches which is a great spot to sit and meditate or bring a book and read. I felt safe here as the location was in a good spot. It wasn't crowded the day I came. The only negative about this place is that they use to close the garden on weekends which many people only have time to visit something like this on a weekend. I don't know if they changed this policy.

Very sad amount of swim instruction classes considering the size of Hayward of course with only 10 openings you will get waitlisted and be number 103 even 30 minutes after registration opens.
