Absolutely wonderful experience with Carmen and Bennett at the Lafayette Tennis Center! My group lesson with Carmen has been a wonderful learning experience. She is insightful and so observant in ways that are really helpful. When we asked for her feedback about our play, we played one point, and she gave immediate feedback about three things we need to work on. I love her gentle but constructive feedback. The guidance she has given me in Private lessons is expert and thoughtful, very beneficial. Additionally, Live Ball and Drill'n Play with Bennett are both fun and provide great drilling that have helped to improve my game. Both Carmen and Bennett make everyone feel sincerely welcome. They offer a ton of different classes and opportunities to play--can't say enough good about my experiences there!

Carmen Sanz is hands down the coach I’ve ever had-I'm a 4.0 tennis player and advanced PB player. As a pickleball pro and the head of Carmen Sanz Pickleball, she brings an incredible blend of expertise, positivity, and passion to every session. Carmen is not just knowledgeable about the sport, but also has a rare ability to break down complex skills in a way that’s easy to understand. Her coaching is always thoughtful and personalized, making every player—whether beginner or advanced—feel seen and supported. What sets Carmen apart is her positive attitude. She fosters an environment where learning is fun, and her belief in her students’ potential is contagious. No matter the challenge, she encourages you to push yourself while keeping the experience enjoyable. Her enthusiasm for pickleball is truly inspiring, and you can tell she’s committed to helping her students grow both on and off the court.

Had a great time at both a drills clinic ("Warrior Day") with Coach Carmen (and others) and a private 30 minute session with Coach Bennett. Although it's an hour drive for me, it was totally worth it. Coach Carmen is an excellent instructor with great knowledge of the game, all of the drills we did were very practical, and all of the coaches provided great individual tips. Coach Bennett was extremely nice and flexible about helping me with various aspects of my game, and even followed up with an email of written feedback to help me continue to improve. Coach Carmen emphasized getting 1% better every day, and I definitely think she provided us with that and more!
