False Creek Community Centre

A very small little community centre with one massive gym and wheelchair accessible and gender neutral/diverse/welcoming bathrooms. Parking can be tough since it’s located on Granville Island but we love the adjacent water park behind and the playground. There are a variety of classes here but wished there were more classes available and that parking was better. The current community centre really needs to be expanded and the lighting inside the lobby also needs to be brighter (currently it’s quite dark!!). Overall I love this place but it needs an update for sure and I hope our local government upgrades this community centre because it is amazing and has so much potential if made newer.

Terrible gym. Used to work out here until a member got aggressive with me in the change rooms on some roid rage. After complaining to the manager they were dismissive of my problem. Hopefully this manager experiences a nightmare neighbour or person in their day to day life and the authorities decide to dismiss the problem. You will know how I felt. Gym manager is unprofessional and lacks empathy

We had our wedding reception here (Lind Hall) this summer. The staff were so easy to work with and communicative, including setting up several viewings and clearly communicating set-up and tear down expectations. We loved the simple elegance of the space which didn't require much additional decor to meet our needs. We also appreciated the amenities (kitchen for food storage, storage room with chairs and tables, and storage room upstairs for dishware drop off). We also loved having exterior doors off the space backing on the park which, on a hot summer day, were well used by guests. Such a lovely place to host an event!
