The Fields at 17 Springs

When we moved here from Illinois we were heartbroken because there wasn’t a youth track team available to suit our daughters needs and the reason for that is the unavailability of practice locations for track training. The high schools either don’t have them or theirs are already booked by their own team and don’t allow outside use or theirs are jacked up. Not only did this cause us to want to start a program in the area to keep our girls going but we searched and searched for practice locations and the new 17 springs is just opening and guess what they are almost complete with an athletic track. It’s so beautiful and peaceful over here. We hope to find a way to partner with them and our track program. We see a need for MORE for the youth in the area and this place is absolutely going to do what they purposed it to do with the right people In the surrounding communities supporting and being supported. The baseball diamonds are top tier and already all booked. Tennis / pickle ball courts are always busy. It’s always neat and clean here. The football fields are immaculate. It’s bring your own seating for sure thus far. They are still under construction with much more of their projects but I can’t wait to see it to completion and am hoping to keep my review a five star review. I hope to work with this organization to grow my program and prayerfully one day in the near future host track meets. The closest meets in the state are in Birmingham Huntsville areas and Birmingham is not ideal and we’ve not been through Huntsville just yet. Also we tried the complex in wetumpka that also has a track and were promised to be able to have practice slots only to keep reaching out and finally finding out the person’s charge at the time that worked with us was no longer an employee. The only other tracks in the area are in Montgomery and at the military base and none are available to use because other coaches or teams use them. There is so little to offer the youth in the Prattville Millbrook areas on the side of track so I am hoping we can do great things. We’ve been coming out on weekends to make sure our girl stays fit and ready for the season.

These courts are so nice! We were lucky to go when there were not a lot of people since it was cold but these courts are usually full. However, there are a lot of courts so you should find somewhere to be. We had a great experience here.

We LOVE 17 Springs. Having young grandchildren that will be playing here for years too come we are so excited to have a first class sports venue that we can pour into as well as the economic impact it will have for this area. We have played soccer and football on the fields already and cannot wait until the 2nd and 3rd phases are complete.
